Glass and safety
Glass is heavy, fragile and sharp. That is why safety is our absolute priority, especially when installing or replacing windows on upper floors. Any necessary safety measures are factored into our quote, so there will be no nasty surprises. This might include the use of scaffolding, hoisting and lifting equipment. In most cases, installing glass using only a ladder is simply not safe.
Up to all standards
As glazing specialists, upholding the highest safety standards is our responsibility. Our glaziers hold valid VCA certificates (Health, Safety and Environment) and are certified in BHV (Emergency First Aid). Additionally, we fully comply with the NEN 3569 safety standards. That means we always install safety glass wherever the distance between the floor and the bottom edge of the glass is less than 85 cm. The same applies to balustrades, skylights, roof lights and overhead glazing, such as conservatories. Because prevention is better than cure. Read more about safety glass.

Shared responsibility
Since 2005, clients have been legally required to ensure that safety standards are strictly adhered to during any work carried out on their behalf. That means that both the client and the contractor share responsibility for ensuring that all work is completed safely.
